These images are either from Bodie - a 19th-20th century gold mining settlement in the Eastern Sierras - or from Grant Avenue in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco during the height of the pandemic when small old time shops simply faded away.
As one peers in windows of abandoned spaces reflections of what is behind the camera and in front of the camera create a dual reality in a number of the images. Other images simply reveal forgotten time.
